Research & Innovation Service

The Research & Innovation Service (RIS) provides support for every stage of the research life cycle, from developing grant proposals, contracting through to achieving impact.

This toolkit is one example of the resources that has been developed by RIS to support researchers with optimising the impact of their research. To find out more about the Research Innovation Service please visit our website.

Research Impact Support

Within the Research Innovation Service there is a small team that is available to support staff with their Impact related questions. However, they do not work alone and collaborate with colleagues across the University to support impact, including in the development of this toolkit. This includes:

  • Working with nominated Impact Director for each department; Associate Deans for Research and Directors of Research.
  • Other RIS teams including Research Enterprise and Commercialisation (IP, Patents, Trade marks etc), Industrial Partnership Managers (Industry Engagement), Research Grant Development Team (Pathways to Impact), Pre-award and contracts (Costing and resourcing);
  • Other Professional services including Communications and Marketing, Public Engagement Unit, Development and Alumni.
